cloneside is a developer tool that reads your database schema and sample rows to classify columns and build a synthetic clone. This policy explains what we touch and what we keep — which is deliberately very little.

Your source data stays yours

Scans run against the connection string you supply. We sample rows only to classify columns and learn distributions — we never persist your real records. Generated clones contain no original PII.

What we store

Account email, org name, and the metadata needed to show your projects: table and column names, classifications, confidence scores, and clone row counts. Schema shape — not data.

Schema metadata & classifications
Account & billing details
Raw rows from your production database

Sub-processors

We use a small set of infrastructure providers for hosting and billing. The current list lives in our docs and is updated before any change takes effect.

Waitlist and early-access emails

When you join a waitlist tier through cloneside.com, we collect your email address, the tier you selected (Free, Pro, Team, Compliance, or SQL Server), and the timestamp of your signup.

Why: Solely to notify you when that tier is open and available. We will not send marketing email unrelated to your selected tier, and we will not share or sell your address to third parties.

Retention: Your record is deleted within 30 days of a written removal request. If the tier you signed up for never launches — and no launch is made within 24 months of your signup date — your record is purged automatically.

Removal: Email support@cloneside.com with subject "Waitlist removal request" and your email address. We will confirm deletion within five business days.
